Hofmann has collaborated in the seventh edition of the Gran Canaria Me Gusta fair with a gastronomic exhibition on “the flavor of the avant-garde”.
The Gran Canaria I Like Fair, promoted by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organized by the Canary Islands Fair Institution (INFECAR), has now concluded its seventh edition after three days of intense activity.
The fair, which was inaugurated last Friday by the president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, has had a total of 94 exhibitors, in an exhibition space of 9,900 square meters, consolidating as well as the reference event on the island to the primary and gastronomic sector, as well as for the promotion of domestic tourism.
Throughout the three days, the Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair has developed various activities in all INFECAR pavilions, offering the audience from tastings of local products to gastronomic exhibitions, passing through a large exhibition space, children's workshops, live music, samples of cattle drag and shepherd's jump, etc.
In this seventh edition of the Gran Canaria I Like Fair, the Hofmann School of Hospitality has participated making a gastronomic demonstration on 'The taste of the avant-garde', as well as a gastronomic exhibition in Hall 5 with trainers of the school itself and the chefs Representatives: Jean Paul and Federico.
Among the activities of the fair, this Sunday, Miguel Hidalgo, advisor of the Primary Sector and Food Sovereignty of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, proceeded to the awards ceremony of the XIV Official Honey Contest of Gran Canaria, organized by Such counseling. Mieles Maraseo by the beekeeper Juan Félix Díaz has won the Best Honey Award in Gran Canaria 2019, among the 53 samples presented by 50 professional and amateur beekeepers.
